If They Find Out I’m a Fake Saintess, I’m as Good as Dead
Synopsis
Carnike lived in Rillet, a quiet and peaceful rural village in the northwestern part of the Empire.
Having been warmly embraced by the villagers despite being an orphan, she decides to become a saintess and head to the Imperial Palace for their sake.
“If you help me ascend to the throne as quickly as possible, I promise I will help you in return.”
While Carnike is desperately trying to figure out how to avoid angering the Emperor and losing her head, the Crown Prince appears before her.
“I guarantee both your safety and a comfortable life.”
At those words, Carnike readily nods.
However, not long after the two begin their alliance, she discovers yet another shocking truth.
“You are here as a pawn in a wager between God and the Devil. Did you know that?”
“I didn’t.”
“What an insolent way to speak in front of God.”
Living as a fake saintess is exhausting enough to drive her to the grave, but now she discovers that she is actually nothing more than a die in a gigantic gamble over the fate of the world?
A sham saintess who is simultaneously loved by both God and the Devil—this is so absurd that even a passing pig would laugh!
